The Scottish Team

In May, the Scottish team arrived. It was great to have so many Scottish accents here and to be understood! In addition to visiting the different orphanages and the baby hospital H2H Scotland bought new band uniforms which were beautifully complemented by the fantastic vests made by Judi Cox Stewart and Charlotte Love who were here earlier this year. The team also helped to throw a wedding shower for one of our Boys House graduates, Fanel, who is getting married later this year. Although they were only for 9 days, it was packed with ministry, fun and wonderful memories for the kids, the team and the staff.

Youth Groups

This year H2H formed youth groups in 3 different locations, ie. 2 orphanages in Bucharest and also for kids from different orphanages in Rosiori de Vede. We start each week with a “minute to win it” game, ie. a game in which you have to complete a fun task in 60 seconds. After this we have a worship time and then a bible lesson which challenges them in some aspect of their lives eg. Relationships, peer pressure etc. Each week we keep score of the “minute to win it” games and the points are added up. On Saturday, the kids who had 90% attendance from the 3 groups met at Herastrau Park in Bucharest and completed the competition. They had a wonderful day finishing the competition, playing volleyball, baseball etc. eating and building relationnships with each other.
